How to tell the website is the Checking Exercise Website

The Checking Exercise Website uses TLS (Transport Layer Security), which is an updated, more secure, version of SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). This provides a secure communication channel between your web-browser and the website. It does not secure your PC

The URL should appear with a ‘https:’ prefix not ‘http:’. The full URL should appear ‘https://tableschecking.education.gov.uk/’.

A padlock icon should be visible on the status bar:

Double clicking on the padlock icon will allow you to access the TLS certificate. The Issued to address must be tableschecking.education.gov.uk.
